Ingredients
- Beef Brisket
- 1 cup beef broth
Seasoning Rub
- ½ cup kosher salt
- ¼ cup Worcestershire seasoning
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup Garlic Powder
- ¼ cup Onion Powder
- ¼ cup Chili powder
Directions
- 2-3 days before cooking, coat with Kosher Salt and let sit in fridge
- Turn Traeger on, set to 250
- Trim fat and silver skin off brisket, leaving only ¼â€
- Remove any hard pieces of fat off the meat
- Rub seasonings over brisket. Be very generous! Get a thick layer on
- Let sit for 15 mins or overnight
- Place brisket on traeger, fat side up
- Insert meat probes
- Set alert for 160F
- Once brisket reaches 160F in about 3 hours, wrap in foil
- Add beef broth to foil before closing up
- Place back in traeger
- Turn up to 350 degrees
- Set alert for 203 F
- Once brisket reaches 203F in another 2-3 hours, remove from Traeger
- Wrap in towels and place in empty ice chest to rest for at 1-3 hours (or microwave or stove that you won’t be using)
- Cut against the grain
- Serve with favorite BBQ sauce, if desired
- Total time is about 7-10 hours, depending on brisket size
