Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, uncooked, peeled, deveined, tail off
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1/4 cup fl our
- 2 TBSP Tomato Sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 TBSP cajun seasoning
- 6 green onions, sliced
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions
- Melt butter in large skillet over med-heat
- Add onions and saute until transparent
- Add garlic, cook 1 min
- Stir in fl our until well blended
- Stir in water and tomato sauce
- Add shrimp and cook 2-3 mins
- Add cajun seasoning, salt and pepper
- Continue to cook until Shrimp turn pink
- Garnish with green onions
- Serve over rice
Notes:
The first time I ate this was in New Orleans and had crawfish instead of shrimp. This dish is amazing! It is a family favorite and if I don’t make it every month or so, I start to hear about it.
Spinach can be added to most any skillet meal. Throw a couple handfuls in about 2-3 mins before the meal is done and stir until wilted.
