Ingredients
- 1 lb ground meat
- 1 box Rotini or Penne Pasta
- 1/2 jar pasta sauce
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- Dried Basil
Directions
- Cook pasta per package, set aside
- In a large skillet over med-high heat; brown ground meat to 90% done
- Drain off fat
- Add onions, bell peppers and crushed red pepper, cook 2-3 mins
- Add pasta sauce and cheeses, cook 2-3 mins until well stirred and cheese begins to melt.
- Add pasta
- Remove from heat
- Stir
- Garnish with Basil
Notes:
Spinach can be added to most any skillet meal. Throw a couple handfuls in about 2-3 mins before the meal is done and stir until wilted.
I’ve used both ground beef and ground turkey in this recipe. Both are equally good, with slightly different tastes due to the meat.
