Ingredients
- 6 ramen noodle packets
- 2 lbs beef, cut into pieces
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, peeled and cut into matchsticks
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Directions
- Cook ramen noodles according to package, drain and set aside
- In large skillet, over med-high heat; sear beef about 2 mins per side, set aside
- Reduce heat to med-low; sauté garlic and ginger for 1 min
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar and broth
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 3-5 mins until sauce thickens
- Add broccoli and carrots, cover skillet and cook 5 mins
- Return beef to skillet, stir
- Add ramen noodles and green onions, stir
- Cook until noodles are warmed
- Serve
- Garnish with sesame seeds
Notes:
Spinach can be added to most any skillet meal. Throw a couple handfuls in about 2-3 mins before the meal is done and stir until wilted.
