Currywurst Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, cubed
  • 2-3 handfuls spinach, optional
  • French Fries, 1 bag frozen

Sauce

  • 1 15oz can tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 TBSP curry powder
  • 2 TBSP paprika
  • 2 TBSP white sugar
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Cook fries per package instructions
  2. In large bowl, combine sauce ingredients. Set aside
  3. In large skillet over med-high heat; sauté chicken until 90% done
  4. Add sauce and spinach, cook until wilted
  5. Serve over French fries

Notes:

Spinach can be added to most any skillet meal. Throw a couple handfuls in about 2-3 mins before the meal is done and stir until wilted.

I first had Currywurst at the Haufbrauhaus in Las Vegas and loved it. I decided I had to figure out how to make it myself. This recipe comes pretty close and personally I like it better.
