Chicken Katsu

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Oil or cooking spray

Tonkatsu Sauce

  • 4 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 TBSP Ketchup
  • 2 TBSP soy sauce
  • 2 TBSP Mirin or 1 TBSP sugar

Directions

  1. Make Tonkatsu sauce by mixing all ingredients together in small saucepan
  2. Place over low heat and whisk occasionally
  3. Use a meat mallet to flatten chicken to even thickness, about 1/2” thick
  4. Cut each chicken breast into 3 or 4 pieces, based on your preference
  5. Dust chicken in flour
  6. Dip into oil or spray with cooking spray
  7. Press into panko crumbs
  8. Cook in Air Fryer for 15 mins at 350 F
  9. Drizzle sauce over the chicken
  10. Serve with rice
  11. Garnish with green onions

Notes:

If you can have egg, replace oil/cooking spray with egg for helping panko crumbs stick
